New York City FC are in the transfer market for another big name in the Football Iker Casillas, According to the Spanish outlets that are suggesting that MLS side have lodged an offer for legendary Spanish goalkeeper.
Casillas has spent 16 years with Real Madrid, played over 500 La Liga games but fallen out of favour after Jose Mourinho took in charge of Los Blancos. The Portuguese manager was the main reason why Spain international left Santiago Bernabeu and joined Portuguese side Porto.
Casillas and NYCFC striker David Villa have been longtime teammates at Spain National team and they can be reunited at MLS League if Spaniard keeper agrees to make a move. New York defender Andoni Iraola have also played with Iker on the international stage and it will be easy for former Real Madrid star to adapt.
Signing Casillas will increase chances for NYCFC to qualify for the Playoff zone and finish season with winning all possible titles.
