NYCFC interested to sign former Real Madrid star

Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been heavily linked with a move to MLS League giants NYCFC according to the ESPN reports.

New York City, new head coach Patrick Vieira, is keen to strengthen his squad after a disappointing first campaign last season in MLS League and signing keeper like Casillas would be a huge addition for their roster that they will fight for Playoff zone this term and try to win the title at the end of the season.

Spaniard goalkeeper, who started his professional career at Real Madrid, made over 500 appearances for Los Blancos before making move to Porto last summer.

The 34-year-old enjoyed unprecedented success at Real, winning three Champions Leagues and five La Liga titles during his time at the Bernabeu and now New York City hope to win titles with the experienced keeper.
