Serie A giants Inter Milan midfield star Felipe Melo has revealed that he has rejected a couple of offers in the summer of 2013, before later joining Turkish side Galatasaray from Juventus in a €3.75m deal in the summer.
During his interview, Melo has revealed that he rejected offers from Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain. He claims Manchester City were interested in signing him, and he had a pre-agreement with Paris-Saint Germain, but Galatasaray offered a better financial deal.
Since then Melo has moved back to Serie A and he signed for Inter in the summer, and has been a regular in Roberto Mancini’s team. Melo has missed five league games already this season due to suspension, and might want to be more careful.
Brazilian is entering the last stage of his playing career, and it’s highly unlikely he’ll want to make transfer stories up all of a sudden. Roberto Mancini left Manchester City before the summer of 2013, and it’s possible he was interested in signing him.
