Guardiola planning to bring Austrian full-back at Etihad

It is understood that when a new head-coach takes over at a club he will normally have a firm idea of the calibre of the player he wishes to bring with him. When that club has a near limitless supply of money like Manchester City, it gives you a wide supply of talent to choose from.

Spaniard manager Pep Guardiola will become Manchester City manager at the start of next season and if reports are to be believed the former Barcelona manager will be looking to bring Bayern Munich left back David Alaba to the Etihad Stadium.

The 23-year old Austrian has been a fulcrum of Bayern’ defence since he broke into the first team during the 2011-12 season, despite his early age has already become one of the best full-backs in the world, and therefore a huge signing were City to secure his services.
