Chelsea could be without captain John Terry for the visit of Liverpool on Friday.
The veteran defender picked up an ankle injury during his side’s draw with Swansea City yesterday, and left the Liberty Stadium on crutches as a result.
Terry later posted a video on his Instagram page showing him undergoing treatment in order to bring down the swelling on the injury, and is now doubtful to face the Reds at Stamford Bridge.
If Terry is not fit, then David Luiz would be expected to deputise, the Brazilian international having returned to Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.
Speaking after the match, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said of Terry: “I don’t know [the extent of the injury]. Tomorrow we will see the situation about his ankle, but he is a warrior. I’m not worried.”
