Jurgen Klopp has given the all-clear for Liverpool to press ahead and sign Quincy Promes this month as the German looks to manage an offensive on the Premier League title.
According to the Mirror Klopp is eager to add to his attacking options at Anfield and sees Promes as the ideal individual to bring to the club as he seeks to replace Sadio Mane, who has gone to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Promes’ club Spartak Moscow got the winger to sign a new deal with them in the summer and therefore are under no pressure to sell, but it is thought an offer of £25 million could get them to part ways with the 25-year-old.
The Dutchman is starting to interest other Premier League sides and Klopp wants to secure a deal for Promes this window, having monitored his progress for some time.
The pacey attacker has six goals in the Russian Premier League this season and, while Klopp is determined to give youth a chance to shine, he sees Promes as the perfect addition to his versatile front line.
