Reports emanating from Italy today suggest that Serie A giants Juventus want to bring Reds midfielder Emre Can to Turin in the summer, according to Italian media outlet La Stampa.
The German international made the move to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million, and has since gone on to make 108 appearances for Liverpool.
His presence amongst the Reds starting line-up certainly gives them more of a physical edge in midfield, and Jürgen Klopp will surely not want to lose the 22-year-old.
But La Stampa are reporting that the Bianconeri are willing to test Liverpool’s resolve in the summer, when the German will have just one year left to run of his current contract, unless he signs a new deal with the club in the mean time.
And the Anfield hierarchy will surely have to sit down with the German and discuss the possibility of a new contract, to ward off interest from Juve.
