Chelsea manager eyes £56m offer to bring Bayern Munich star at London

According to the reports from Chile, Chelsea are ready to launch a bid to sign Bayern Munich midfield star Arturo Vidal this summer.

As per the Chilean publication El Mercurio, Antonio Conte has made the former Juventus midfielder his priority target for the next transfer window and has already spoken to the South American star on the phone about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

It is also believed that Chelsea’s board have given the go-ahead regarding the transfer and talks will intensify ahead of the summer window.

Bundesliga champions are demanding fee around £56 million for Arturo Vidal. They paid £25.5 million to sign from Juventus under two years ago.

The same sources suggest that 29-year-old Vidal is also having English lessons as he prepares for a potential move to the Premier League.

Antonio Conte managed the Chile international for three seasons at Juventus and the duo won three Serie A titles together.

Speaking last March, the Italian head coach admitted that he would relish the chance to work with Arturo Vidal once again.

He said: ‘He has extraordinary physical and technical attributes, if I get to coach him a little more it’d be fantastic. I want him in all my teams.’
