Chelsea are interested in signing former Liverpool attacker and AC Milan star Suso, according to reports in Italy
The Spaniard was extremely talented, but for whatever reason, couldn’t expand on his early promise under Brendan Rodgers and was eventually offloaded to Rossoneri permanently following various loan spells.
Suso has previously admitted that the Merseyside club made a contract offer to keep him at Anfield but their proposal was too low, resulting in him moving to San Siro.
“I was expiring, and their proposal to renew for me was not good,” Suso said (via the Liverpool Echo).
“Certainly it was a special place, I got there I was a kid, it seemed like a dream. If I’m at Milan it’s thanks to them, however, I made the right choice in coming to Italy.”
And now Calciomercato reports, that the Blues lining up a £21m bid t secure the services of the Former Spain U21 international in the summer transfer window.
However, the Italian outlet believes that they will face stern competition from fellow European giants Juventus in the race to secure his services. It remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old return to the Premier League will materialise in the summer.
Suso made 30 appearances for Milan in all competitions this season and has had a hand in 15 goals.
