Liverpool striker names Paul Pogba as his role model

Liverpool starlet Okera Simmonds admits he looks up to the likes of Eden Hazard, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba.

The 17-year-old is currently learning his trade with Liverpool’s Under-18s side and already has aspirations of emulating the best attacking talent the English football has to offer.

Asked about his role players, the Englishman told Liverpool’s official website: “Well, I play up front, on the wing and as a No.10 as well.

“As a No.9, I like [Sergio] Aguero. He’s so sharp, his finishing’s top and he can link up with other players.

“He knows when to shoot, when to pass, he’s clever as well.

“On the left wing, [Eden] Hazard. On the right, [Sadio] Mane – he’s very effective.

“As a No.10, there’s quite a few decent ones, but I like [Paul] Pogba there.”

However,  the young hitman has risked the wrath of the Anfield faithful by revealing he is a fan of the club’s most famous rivals.

“Man United,” Simmonds told Red official website, when asked which team he supported as a kid.

The former Englan U16 international netted his first goal for the Under-18s during a 2-1 win over Everton in January’s mini derby.
