Club President Addresses Potential Transfer of £26m Liverpool Target

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all reportedly interested in Atalanta star Franck Kessie

The Daily Star reported that the Blues were rebuffed with a £27m approach for Kessie during the January transfer window, but the transfer never materialised.

Meanwhile, George Atangana, the Ivorian midfielder’s agent, has claimed Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all also interested in his client.

The 20-year-old has been one of the key figures in La Dea’s superb season, with his all-action displays in the middle of the park giving the team a foothold in most matches.

Now Atalanta President Luca Percassi has revealed Serie A side AS Roma have made their desire to secure Kessie’s services.

“We have lot of requests for him [Kessie] and Gomez”, Percassi said.

“Our team is young and of course it attracts the interest of many other clubs.”

“As for Kessie, AS Roma are really interested. They believe he’s a very versatile player and of course a big club like them are following him.”

“For us, it is a source of great satisfaction that Atalanta is a springboard for players to move to the best teams.” he added.

The midfielder’s incredible development is said to have raised Italian’s valuation of him, with an offer of €30 million (£26.3 million) said to be needed before they’d consider selling.
