Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all monitoring the situation around Atalanta star Franck Kessie
The 20-year-old has been the top breakout star in Italy’s top flight this season, guiding Atalanta to a fantastic start to the campaign. The club from Bergamo have already cashed in on Mattia Caldara and Roberto Gagliardini, and Kessie was expected to be next.
In January Kessie’s agent George Atangana told Calciomercato, “We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.”
Italians managed to keep their star man in January but, the transfer saga surrounding the Ivory coast international has taken yet another turn, as Atangana now revealed that, there are up to TWENTY different clubs all interested in signing his client.
He told Football Italia: “There are at least 20 clubs following the lad, including the best in Europe.
“Aurelio De Laurentiis? We haven’t spoken to him yet. We’ll talk about the transfer market in June. Napoli is an attractive club, they have a great Coach [Maurizio Sarri].
“His price? Whoever wants him will have to invest a lot.”
These latest revelations are good news for all of the clubs who want to add Kessie, who has scored six goals this season, creating 16 chances and two assists. The powerful midfielder, who is reportedly valued at around £34m, has also completed 829 passes with a pass accuracy of 84%, of which 70% were forward passes.
