Man United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he will support if Zlatan Ibrahimovic decides to leave Manchester United.
The Swedish forward’s future has been a cause of speculation in last weeks as he enters at the end of the one-year deal he secured with the Red Devils last summer.
The Red Devils have the opportunity to extend the striker’s deal for a further season, but it stays unclear if the 35-year-old will be at Old Trafford next campaign.
The former Barcelona star has been in superb form for Manchester United so far this season and has scored 26 goals in all tournaments to end any doubts about his talent to cut it at the top level in England.
Now, Jose has given the fresh update about striker’s future as Manchester United ready to face West Brom at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Talking in an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho claimed: “I am just calm and waiting for the decision.
“If the decision is for him to stay and he is happy with that, we are delighted with that. If his decision is to leave and try to find a different challenge, I will be also happy for him.
“He is [a big part of our success this season], but the human being is more valuable than the player and the team. If his decision is to leave and try to be happy with his family and have a different reality, so be it.”
The Red Devils, who ended fifth and won the FA Cup last campaign, head into their game with West Brom looking to get back into the top four.
